77% of developers listen to music for coding. Most of them prefer electronic music. It is highly recommended that the music has fewer lyrics and the constant beat should not be very agressive so you can maintain the flow mood.

Is there one kind of music better?
You cannot generalize in what kind of music is “better.” After all, it is a personal preference and what can work very well for one person does not have to have the same effect on another.
What can be done is to ask people and according to the study that Jetbrains does annually to see how the ecosystem of the developers is:
- Developers, among other roles, we tend to prefer electronic music while programming.
- UX/UI designers mostly prefer rock.
- And CIOs, CTOs, CEOs, etc. are more into classical music.
