Málaga, here we come! 🚀
Malaga is the new location chosen to open our new Technology Hub. Every Thursday in November, you will be able to attend the Tech Talks that will be given by four colleagues from Santander’s technology team, who also belong to the SanExperts community.
👨🏻💻 SanExperts are Santander employees, experts in different technology areas, and passionate about divulgation. You will find them in forums, debates, universities, or on social networks.
These actions belong to the global initiative Be Tech! with Santander, with which we want to promote the recruitment of STEAM profiles.
💻 Tech Talks at the WorkCafé of Malaga
Work Cafés are the new concept of the bank branch where we want to improve our customers’ experience by providing innovation and technology.
These Tech Talks will be in hybrid format, being able to attend physically at the Work Café or online through Teams, so even if you are not in Malaga, you can attend these talks virtually.

Our colleague Ignacio Aparicio CIO of Digital Channels at SCIB (Santander Corporate and Investment Banking) will present the Hub and explain how the CIB team is helping Santander in the transformation of the relationship with customers.

📅 Thursday, November 10: How Cybersecurity drives innovation in Santander
Diego Regueira, Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist at Santander Global Technology & Operations will explain what cybersecurity is, what types exist, what attacks companies can receive, and how to protect themselves from them. He will also explain the framework used in Santander to establish its cybersecurity organization.

📅 Thursday, November 17: what DevOps teams are like and how they work in Santander
Jose Antonio Souto, Head of IT CIB Production, and Alejandro Romero Jiménez, Head of IT CIB SRE DEVOPS will reveal how DevOps teams help a big company to contain their costs, facing exponential growth in the number of services and technology products they have to maintain. Spoiler: the ambition is to start our journey from DevOps to No Ops.
